  1. Oh my goodness!!!! This gave me a HUGE smile and chills!!! And, Tom stood here the whole time and watched it, which is quite remarkable since he usually doesn't care much for things that I show him! ;)

Nance, HIV care has made such strides and is so "normal" that I'm almost embarrassed to call it special needs adoption!!! I mean, we are shocked by the easiness of caring for an HIV child (but of course there are different stages and complications can arise, which I know you're aware of!), and it really only means an extra 2-4 bloodtests per year, medications given at the SAME times every day, simply being careful around the child's blood, and keeping them well/warm/healthy since their immune system is lower. We already discussed adopting an HIV+ older girl from Russia sometime next year, but I don't know if we can go through that awful dossier and the terrible expense of a Russian adoption so soon after this one! But, there are some gorgeous and otherwise healthy children waiting in Eastern Europe. Victor needs to be in a good place emotionally, physically, etc. before we start any process again! :)

Thanks for always supporting us!!!! You're the best!
